While it is easy to focus on Arafat and Hamas, perhaps the most important Palestinian terrorist for America was Sirhan Sirhan, who killed Senator Robert Kennedy.   

Senator Kennedy was killed by a Palestinian Arab, Sirhan Sirhan, who had resolved to act when he heard Kennedy express support for Israel while campaigning for the presidency in California.
