IP issue for XM Tom Smith

I don’t know enough about this issue to have a position, but it looks interesting.  This bill in the House would apparently prevent XM Radio from selling radios that recorded XM programs, in a manner similar to the way TiVo records TV programs.  Whether this law would be efficient, I don’t know, but it would certainly be annoying to XM listeners such as I.
