There’s a cross missing! Tom Smith

There’s a cross for lots of different Christian denominations, but no Roman Catholic style cross?  The atheist and the humanist symbols are extremely cute, you have to admit.  An A for atheism within an atom?  Maybe the symbol for the null set ( { } ) would have been more appropriate.  I love the abstract human  with its hands upraised.  Why are humanist symbols always so abstract, and 1950s-ish (as is the atom, come to think of it)?  And why is the little abstract human raising his/her/its arms anyway?  What is the little it praising?  Or perhaps it is just doing its calesthenics, or maybe just happy to be one of those darn humans.  But, my point is, no distinctly RC cross or other symbol.  What gives?  If the VA wants some suggestions, they could try this .  There are lots of different kinds of crosses.  Maybe this one would be more appropriate; it’s Roman, though made out of Greek letters, and it is military all right.  There’s probably some kind of story on why no RC style cross.  I wonder what it is.

If the Wiccans want a pentagram, well, OK, but no grinning goat’s head or upside down guy.  Too creepy; they can just deal with it.  I know it when I see it.
