Finally incorruptible government Tom Smith

I think I would like to hedge a bit on my prediction that Speakerpersonality Pelosi will not support former Judge “Judge” Hastings (FDJ – Impeached, Fla.) to chairperson the House Intelligence Committee.  My hesitation comes from the realization that in supporting former Abscam snaree Rep. John Murtha (who closed today up $20,000 from Friday’s close of $123,000) for House majority leader.  Something’s not quite right here.  Being caught on tape almost taking a bribe, negotiating for a bribe is supposed to be bad for your career.  Can you harp about the “culture of corruption” and then put a famous bribee and earmarker into high office?  Apparently you can.  And if you can to do that, maybe you can make the Judge who ran a scam on Tommy the Fish head of a super secret committee.  I know democracy ain’t always pretty, but this is like watching one of those bug eating segments on Fear Factor.
