As you probably know, Michael Richards lost it at a comedy club in LA recently.  Video here.

For some reason I find this story interesting, as I did the Mel Gibson anti-semitic outburst story.  Though actually, they seem quite different psychologically.  Richards appears to me to be retaliating against people for interrupting his show, and using racial epithets to do it, while Gibson’s outburst seems to have been more a drunken tirade that expressed what was going on in his alcohol addled brain.  Both quite bizarre, but still very different.  Of course, it is entirely possible that drugs and/or alcohol played a role in Richard’s poor, ah, judgment, as well.
