These soldiers still believe in fighting for Ukraine but are not keen on being used as a Russian punching bag. They believe their commanders are asking them to commit suicide. Below you can watch videos of soldiers from 12 units presenting a formal demand to President Zelensky and the Ukrainian General in Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This is appearing on Ukrainian social media. It is not a Russian propaganda piece. Here are the units:

Remember boys and girls. The mere fact that I link to something does not imply approval of anything, including the fact that this blogger, unknown to me until a few moments ago, seems to have the sort of politics one certainly does not want to be associated with. Or maybe they’re OK. Not sure. Too scared to check. But anyway, I find this report of Ukrainian mutinies pretty disturbing. There are other reports, that seemingly vanished quickly from reporting, of sixty-five percent (!) of replacement soldiers being casualties on the eastern front in the Donbas. Sixty-five percent is very, very high. Much higher than the levels of casualties suffered by the first waves on Omaha Beach, for instance and if memory serves. If Zelensky is pouring troops into a 65 percent meat grinder, somebody’s doing something wrong. But of course, the whole business is becoming a shambles. Send in the Marines, we used to say.
