Prostitutes wearing only G-strings are prowling the sidewalks of National City, California – with frustrated mayor saying he can’t take action after Gov. Gavin Newsom repealed law that banned loitering | Daily Mail Online

Sex workers wearing only G-strings have been pictured prowling the streets of a small California city, leaving one mayor frustrated over the repealing of a law that banned street walking.

National City is spiraling out of control, according to Mayor Ron Morrison, due to brazen prostitutes who have been gathering in the downtown area.

Prostitution is illegal in the state of California, but Morrison believes that a new law that banned old practices of making loitering with the intent to engage in prostitution illegal is responsible.

Another law prohibits police from citing people suspected of soliciting sex based on appearances, allowing prostitutes to walk the streets in little clothing.

Morrison told CBS8: ‘Police can t literally go and talk to them because they don t have a right to talk to them because they are not doing anything wrong for loitering for prostitution.

‘Even if they are going out talking to someone in their car and sitting there when all they are wearing is less than a G-string.’
