Australia Man Inadvertently Creates Viral ‘Magpie god’ While Trying to Scare Birds From His Backyard
An Australian man’s unconventional attempt to scare magpies away from his backyard using a homemade scarecrow has resulted in an unexpected turn of events. Despite its eerie resemblance to a leftover Halloween decoration, the man believes that the birds were actually flocking to his garden to worship what they perceived as a magpie deity. Giulio Cuzzilla encountered this peculiar situation when magpies started pilfering kibble from his cat’s feeding bowl. In an effort to deter them, he hastily assembled a makeshift “owl” to ward off the birds. However, instead of being frightened, the magpies began bowing down and communicating with the scarecrow. Intrigued and somewhat concerned by this behavior, Giulio captured the strange incident on video from the window of his suburban home in western Sydney.
