Biden s migrant crime wave heats up – Washington Examiner

It has been a bad week for Biden border crisis deniers.

First, in Maryland, the Harford County Sheriff s Office announced it had made an arrest in the killing of Rachel Morin, a mother of five. The suspect, Victor Martinez-Hernandez, crossed into the United States illegally in February 2023, and like millions of other migrants under President Joe Biden, he was never apprehended.

Then in New York, a migrant from Ecuador, Christian Geovanny Inga-Landi, was arrested after allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl at knifepoint. Inga-Landi was apprehended by Border Patrol crossing the border illegally with his son on June 25, 2021, but he was released into the country, which is Biden s policy. Inga-Landi was ordered to leave the country by an immigration judge on Feb. 2, 2022, but Biden s Immigration and Customs Enforcement never tried to apprehend Inga-Landi, which is also Biden s policy.

Then, in Houston, two Venezuelan illegal immigrants were arrested after the rape and homicide of a 12-year-old girl. The two migrants both crossed the border illegally, although separately, and both were released into the country, which is Biden s policy. Both migrants were temporarily placed in ICE s Alternative to Detention program, the same broken program endorsed by the Lanford-Mayorkas legislation.

Finally, in Iowa, another illegal immigrant, this time from Honduras, pleaded guilty to the sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl. The migrant, Junior Manuel Dubon Benitez, was arrested after illegally crossing the southern border near Hidalgo, Texas, in April 2022. He was also released into the country, which is Biden s policy.

Biden and his open-border apologists can claim all they want that past studies show immigrants commit crimes less often than people born in America. But that doesn t change the fact that every crime committed by an illegal immigrant could have been prevented by enforcing our nation s existing immigration laws. Furthermore, past studies of immigrant populations are not comparable to the unchecked wave of migrants Biden is presently letting into the country.
