Listen if you will to Steve Bannon talk about the future of nationalist populism in the UK, Europe and the US and tell me honestly if the little hairs on your neck don’t stand up. If your little hairs stand up and you want to rise to your feet and cheer mindlessly, you might be a fascist. If you’re concerned about your liberties, you might be like me. Personally, I don’t like having to choose (as if my choice matters) between whatever combination Trump is putting together, on the one hand, and the evil blob that Biden and the DNC have put together, David Sack’s “looters of the Republic,” on the other. Maybe I’ll write in Ronald Reagan on my ballot, just for laughs.
