Of course the powers that be will ultimately crush this obviously justified, in the John Locke sense, in seeking to redraw the internal boundaries of the ultimate sovereign, the United States. But how can one do anything other than admire them, these lonely rural folk, much more accustomed to hard work than the sophistication of their betters. I will, pending of course any nefarious elements in their number, say I support them. No, I suppose I would not support their taking up arms. Good luck with that. You’re appeal to the tree of liberty would be answered, and the answer would be no. But short of that? Of course. What you need to think about is how to tee up some essential issue as a decision for the Supreme Court. If there can be a final answer in law, however than turns out, we will have a chance. A republic, as the old saying goes. You know the rest.
