In a struggling town, Musk discusses purpose – Washington Examiner
Musk, the innovative and entrepreneurial owner of companies such as Tesla and SpaceX, whose Starship rocket just made history a little over a week ago when the lower half of it was captured by a giant pair of mechanical arms on its return to the launch pad, began a swing across Pennsylvania last week. The itinerary included stops in Folsom, suburban Philadelphia, Harrisburg, and western Pennsylvania.
Each in-person event was held in small venues, drew thousands, and required attendees to register to vote and sign to pledge their support for the First and Second amendments. Oct. 21 is the last day to register to vote in Pennsylvania and also the last day to sign up for the petition. The event was sponsored by Musk s America PAC and focused on getting people to register to vote and then to actually cast ballots.

I don’t doubt there are plenty of Dems who would stop these pro-Trump rallies if they could. That pledge to support the First and Second Amendments and register to vote? Backed up by a lottery for those who do? Surely that’s enough to shut ‘er down, right? But the FBI is pretty busy these days, and it wouldn’t look so good, and the press is still free enough that the story would get out. So it looks like Our Democracy takes another hit from, uh, democracy I guess.
When I watched the big Starship rocket get *caught* by those mechanical arms, I was sure it was AI generated. Pretty cool, I thought. Then I gradually figured out it was . . . real! Gosh.
