Shark attack victim speaks out after South Padre incident

One of the victims is speaking out and providing an update after her left calf was bit by a shark while in waters at South Padre Island in Texas. Tabatha Sullivent wrote on her GoFundMe page on Friday, July 5 that she lost her left calf and still has movement in her toes and circulation in her foot after the shark attack.

Sullivent was one of the four victims who encountered a shark on the island on the Fourth of July. Officials believe the four bites happened across two incidents, with one person bit and another injured in the first and the other with two people bit at a second location. South Padre Island Fire Chief Jim Pigg said a single shark is responsible for all four injuries. It’s unknown what kind of shark was involved in the attacks but it has been moved to a deeper part of the sea.

I guess sometimes a calf is enough.
