Fat Leonard’ Escapes House Arrest in San Diego Weeks Before Sentencing in Navy Bribery Scheme

The military contractor known as “Fat Leonard,” who pleaded guilty to orchestrating an international Navy bribery scheme and was under house arrest in San Diego, is now on the run after cutting off his GPS monitoring ankle bracelet over the weekend, federal authorities said.

Well he wouldn’t be worth his salt if he didn’t, would he? Presumably he has a yacht, suitably rationed, waiting offshore. But he’ll be in hock up to his eyeballs to a bunch of scary Mexican dudes, and their Chinese overlords, so don’t envy him.
