Twitter is often an unpleasant place these days, but Tuesday night saw a particularly ugly form of mob justice emerge on the platform. After crowdfunding platform GiveSendGo, which collected over $8 million from almost 100,000 people for the Freedom Convoy, was hacked and its donor database stolen, people began to publicly list the full names, employers, and places of study of donors. If it wasn t said explicitly, the message was certainly implicit: go get em.
