Protest organizer Benjamin Dichter says people who are unhappy about the honking should be contacting Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and ask him to lift COVID-19 mandates.
To anybody who is annoyed, we apologize. Please call Justin Trudeau, his office, and get these mandates lifted, and we re out of here, Dichter said at a press conference in Ottawa on Feb. 6.
Trudeau has refused to meet with the protesters.
It’s not an insurrection, yet. Funny thing is, and I bet Master Trudeau knows this, is that the truckers have totally got him, unless he’s willing to resort to a level of force that surely would, well, might set off an insurrection. The truckers are a vital, as in absolutely necessary link in Canada’s supply chain of things like food and fuel. Even if they leave, if they don’t go back to work, Ottawans, who are indeed mostly in government, are going to be in a really uncomfortable place.
Another thing that I just learned — the truckers are mostly Christians. There’s a lot of overt prayer etc. in this convoy. That’s another thing that the smarty-pants in Ottawa must really have difficulty with. It’s becoming a “cult,” as our lovely commentator below remarks. Poor dears.
I can’t bring myself to say HONK! — So I’ll just say honk! I’ll send in my donation, cc the FBI/NSA and go on the list, but I’m probably on it already, as indeed are most of you, no doubt. It must be a long list.
