Are Rising Energy Prices The First Sign Of Greenflation?

I don’t know about you, but I’m looking forward to paying 20-30% more on everything so that I can be assured that my consumption choices are sustainable. By that I mean, they conform to the scientific prediction that if our choices are not so modified, we will change the climate of our planet so that it is too hot, or too cold, or too moderate, or too stormy to be comfortable. While this theory has not, as far as I can tell as a reasonably intelligent consumer of what information is available, and who can keep up with all that, everybody else seems to think it is true, so I elect to conform to that view. Not only might it be true, but should I entertain any other opinion, the knives are likely to be out for me.

Sadly, it turns out that there are a lot of things like this, things such that I must have an approved opinion, let alone some eccentric opinion, lest I get it from the powers that be. Alas, it has frequently been thus. I suspect the USA merely enjoyed a brief period of human freedom, in the wake of winning the Greatest War, and now we are settling down to a lesser plane of being, under the semi-wise tutelage of our masters. Me, I think I will avoid the Masters as much as possible, and say truths from the margins. But it should not have been necessary.
