The daughter of Mexican drug lord Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman has married another offspring of a drug empire in a lavish ceremony held in the cathedral of Sinaloa’s state capital Culiacan.
Alejandrina Gisselle Guzman married Edgar Cazares, the nephew of Blanca Margarita Cazares – an alleged cartel money launderer, Mexican newspaper Reforma reported on Saturday, in the heartland of Mexico’s powerful Sinaloa Cartel.
The wedding took place on January 25, Reforma said. Photographs and videos, including performances by a popular Mexican band and singers, fireworks, and yellow tape around the cathedral, were shared on social media.
