A suggestion: just substitute “Nazi” or “Nazi Germany” for each place the NYT uses the word “China.” Then suddenly the US doesn’t seem so unreasonable or quick to anger or deliberately misunderstanding. The Nazis had nothing on China under the CCP, except the Nazi’s deliberately scary uniforms. Other than that — mass genocides? Check. Based on race and religion? Check. Horrifying medical experiments on living humans? Check. Mercenary profit seeking under the fig leaf of ridiculous ideology? Check. You could go on. The Chinese CCP is. a bunch. of. f-ing. Nazis. It’s a clarifying thought.
