Republican state lawmakers in Wisconsin have set up a Christmas tree in the Capitol rotunda last week in defiance of Governor Tony Evers, local WKOWreports.
Governor Evers had previously stated that no Christmas tree would be set up in the state capitol due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, although it is unclear what the relation between the two is.
The tree was set up by Representatives Paul Tittl and Shae Sortwell, with Tittl announcing the erection of the tree on Twitter.
