BREAKING: NY appellate court suspends Giuliani’s law license over election-fraud claims HotAir

As the saying goes, elections have consequences and so does submitting demonstrably false and misleading statements to courts about them. A state appeals court in New York suspended Rudy Giuliani s law license this morning, ruling that when acting as Donald Trump s attorney in election challenges, Giuliani violated his duties as an officer of the court. The decision declared uncontroverted evidence of misconduct, and might portend similarly harsh consequences for other attorneys involved in these challenges:

It looks like Rudy got caught red handed telling egregious lies to the Court. You can’t do that. Unless the court is going far out on a conspiratorial limb, which I very much doubt, it looks like Rudy is just getting what was coming to him.

It’s curious that Trump had, with exception of Bill Barr and perhaps others I don’t know about, such awful lawyers representing him. This is a failure in the market for legal services.
