Pentagon orders U.S. airlines to help fly Afghanistan evacuees

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has ordered U.S. commercial airlines to provide planes to help speed up Afghanistan evacuation efforts, the Pentagon said Sunday.

United Airlines should be forced to do this just because they are so generally awful and for abandoning my wheelchair bound late mother at O’Hare in 2007 or so. Just left her in an empty room and that was it. She was there all day, no food, water, had to go to the bathroom and couldn’t use her cell phone. I never fly United unless there’s absolutely no other choice including rail. Lots of airlines and specific flights suck, but United takes it to a whole new level.
